 1) Anthony Frederick, britischer Kunsthistoriker, * Bournemouth 26. 9. 1907, ✝ London 26. 3. 1983; Professor an der Londoner Universität und Direktor des Courtauld Institute ebenda (1947-74), später außerdem Professor in Oxford und Cambridge. Blunt veröffentlichte wesentliche Arbeiten zur italienischen Renaissance, zum Werk von N. Poussin und zur Kunst des Barock. 1979 wurde seine Agententätigkeit für die UdSSR während des Zweiten Weltkrieges bekannt; der 1956 verliehene Adelstitel wurde ihm deshalb aberkannt.

 2) Wilfrid Scawen, britischer Politiker, Dichter und Reisender, * Petworth House (County Sussex) 17. 8. 1840, ✝ Newbuildings Place bei Southwater (County Sussex) 10. 9. 1922; 1858-69 als Diplomat in Athen, Paris, Lissabon und Südamerika tätig; heiratete Lady Anne Noel (* 1837, ✝ 1917), eine Enkelin des Dichters Lord Byron, und bereiste mit ihr Nordafrika und Vorderasien, wo er zum Anhänger der politischen Bestrebungen der islamischen Völker wurde (»The future of Islam«, 1882), sowie Indien (»Ideas about India«, 1885). Seine Frau verfasste Berichte über diese Expeditionen (u. a. »A pilgrimage to Nejd«, 1881). Blunt war Gegner des britischen Imperialismus und Anwalt unterdrückter Völker, unterstützte z. B. die irische Bewegung Homerule (1887/88 wegen seiner Tätigkeit für die »Irish Land League« kurzzeitig inhaftiert). Er schrieb oft formsprengende Erlebnislyrik und idyllische Naturdichtung (»Poetical works«, 2 Bände, 1914) und veröffentlichte Tagebücher (»My diaries«, 2 Bände, 1919-20).
